Counting of Votes for Assembly Elections, begins in Five States

The counting of votes in all five poll-bound states began on Thursday morning at 8.00AM. The five states are Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Manipur, and Goa.
690 assembly constituencies went to elections in various phases for almost a month. However, the counting of Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) commenced at 8.30 AM. 
Assembly elections were held in Uttar Pradesh from February10 to March 7 in seven phases. In addition to it, Manipur had two phases of Assembly polls on February 28 and March 5. On the other hand, February 14, Goa and Uttarakhand  went for polls. Polls were held in Punjab on February 20.
