Chandigarh: 36 students grounded for missing ‘Mann Ki Baat’

Thirty-Six PGIMER’s National Institute of Nursing Education students were grounded for a week in the hostel for missing Modi’s 100th ‘Mann Ki Baat’. The 100th episode of Maan Ki Baat was screened on April 30th.

According to news reports, as per the instructions of the PGI director, it is compulsory for students to attend the 100th episode of ‘Maan Ki Baat’ in LT1 at 10:30 am on April 30th. Moreover, they also warned about the cancellation of outings.

Despite of information, 8 first-year and 28 second-year students did not attend the programme.

36 PGI students grounded for skipping ‘Mann ki Baat’  PGIMER has initiated action against 36 girl students for failing to attend the recent Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme, Naina Mishra tweeted.

According to Dr. Kaur, the principal of NINE, as “students are required to attend many guest lectures,” this move was done “to maintain discipline”, The Indian Express reported.

Also, she added it is a punishment that wasn’t taken as they did not attend the particular programme.
