Meerut man killed his live-in partner and her daughter, buried them in house with their belongings.
Police has arrested a man identified as Shamshad. He is accused of murdering his live-in partner along with her daughter. He was arrested and interrogated for hours. He revealed that he not only killed them but also buried them and their belongings inside the walls of the house. He had hidden his identity and religion from the woman before getting into a relationship with her.
According to the Police, the woman is identified as Priya, a single mother. She used to live in Gaziabad with her 10 year old daughter. She met Shamshad online through Facebook in 2013.
Shamshad addressed himself as Amit in his FB status. After sometime, Priya shifted to Meerut with her daughter to be with Shamshad. They lived happily from then, but when she came to know about his original religion and name , she argued with him and in a fit of rage he killed them on March 29, 2020.
Priya’s friend Chanchal who also belongs to Gaziabad grew suspicious, filed a missing complaint in the police station. On investigating about Priya and her daughter the police found the bodies from Shamshad’s house.
Shamshad was absconding from his house since the bodies were found. But the police found him on Thursday. Later he informed the police that he was already married. Police are on a look out for Shamshad’s wife.
He buried all the belongings of Priya and her daughter. Police also found that he used to watch crime related shows on TV.
Superintendent of Police, Meerut Mr. Akhilesh Narayan Singh said that DNA test of both bodies will be conducted soon and they would try to trace out the whereabouts of Shamshad’s wife to check if there’s an angle of an extra marital affair in this case.
