Bajrang Dal Members burn Copy of ‘KamaSutra’ in Ahmedabad

Members of Bajrang Dal, a right wing organization, entered a shop in Ahmedabad and burn a copy of kamasutra on 28 August 2021. They raised slogans saying “Jai Sri Ram” and “Har har Mahadev”.

Bajrang Dal, an outfit of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, alleged that the book had objectionable depiction of the Hindu deities. Hence, they brought the book ‘Kamasutra’ outside the shop and burnt the book.

‘Kamasutra’ is a book written by the Vedic philosopher Vatsyayana in the third or fourth century. It is a unique text is in contrast with all the other Shastras of this period. ‘Kamasutra’ explores love, sex and fulfillment but ignores caste and class.

Bajrang Dal has alleged that there is objectionable depiction of Lord Krishna. According to the Indian express the Bajrang Dal outfit burnt an illustrated book outside a book store in Ahmedabad on Saturday.
