Indian para-athletes on Saturday created history as they claimed their 100th medal of the Asian Para Games in Hangzhou.
Hangzhou Asian Games started from September 23 to October 8. With the Dilip Mahadu Gavit claiming a gold medal. Dilip Mahadu Gavit claimed a gold medal to take India’s medal tally to 100.
For the first time, the Indian para contingent has won 100 medals, making this their most successful Para Asian Games campaign to date. Till now India has claimed 26 golds, 29 silvers, and 45 bronze medals.
India’s previous best was the 72 medals they had won in 2018 with 15 golds, 24 silvers, and 33 bronze medals.
