Rohit Sardana’s death Celebrated; Wikipedia Vandalized

Popular Aaj Tak anchor Rohit Sardana passed away on Friday after suffering a heart attack. His untimely death came as a major shock to the country.

However, it was a moment of joy and celebration for some journalists, activists, Islamists and liberals.

Meanwhile, the tragic death was condoled on the social media handles throughout the country. Whereas liberals and Islamists celebrated his demise.

Though it seemed indecent to celebrate someone’s death, Twitter flooded with such tweets. They cursed him and hurled worst kind of abuses at him.

The liberals and Islamists had tons of hatred towards him. They not only hurled abuses at the departed soul on the social media they also vandalized his Wikipedia page within 35 minutes of his death.

They stated that “He was suffering from modism, modism replaced COVID-19″ in his wikipedia page. Dozens of such edits were made abusing the late journalist.

Edits were made in the Wikipedia page without logging into the crowd-sourced encyclopedia site. He was referred to as a ‘Paid Bhakt’, ‘Chaddhi Sanghi’ and many abusive words.

People close to Rohit Sardana say that he is known for his straight forward verbatim, that’s why abuses are being hurled at him.

It is said that he was not fair in his journalism, especially during the CAA and NRC riots. He blamed the student leaders and humiliated them. It is also said that he tried to spread hatred among the people by giving divisive reports.
