Girl shot in head by youth in head in Hapur, victim in critical condition

Uttar Pradesh: The girl, a resident of Sabli village in Hapur district, was shot on Thursday afternoon near JD College. The motive of the crime is yet to be ascertained.

It is evident that miscreants and criminals in Uttar Pradesh are not afraid of law. In a recent incident, a youth shot a girl student in the head in Hapur district of Uttar Pradesh.

Victim is in Critical condition

The victim is said to be in critical condition. The incident took place near JD College under Hapur Dehat police station on Thursday. The accused is identified as Bhushan Sharma alias Abhishek, a resident of Asodha village.

Reports say that the incident created panic in the area. The police officials rushed to the spot and admitted the girl to a hospital. When the victim’s condition deteriorated, she was shifted to Meerut . Subsequently,  the girl’s father lodged a complaint with the police.

Main motive unknown 

Cops are on a manhunt to nab the culprit. However, the main motive behind the shooting is yet to be ascertained by the Police. The girl who was shot is a resident of Sabli village. She used to come to Hapur city to take computer classes.

On Thursday, Bhushan Sharma fled the spot after shooting the girl in the head and critically injuring her. According to eyewitnesses, the accused and the girl were talking to each other before he shot her.

Station House Officer (SHO) Uttam Singh Rathore admitted the girl to a hospital and recorded her statement. Later, the Tehsildar also visited the hospital and recorded the girl’s statement.

Accused caught on CCTV

Meanwhile, ASP Savresh Kumar Mishra said that they have identified the accused with the help of a CCTV installed at a nearby hospital. Police are now conducting raids to arrest Bhushan Sharma.

“A man from Asodha village shot the girl in the head. Based on the complaint from the girl’s family, we filed an FIR against the accused. The victim is in critical condition. Several teams are  formed to nab the accused,” said Neeraj Jadon, SP.
