On Thursday, PM Narendra Modi said, “The incident of Manipur has put 140 crore Indians to shame. I want to assure the people of India that the accused will not be spared”.
Furthermore, the PM added, “I assure the people that the guilty will not be spared, and the law will act with its full will. What has happened to the daughters of Manipur can’t be forgiven.”

This was the first time PM Modi spoke about the situation in Manipur after violence between the Meiteis and Kukis in the North Eastern state on May 3.
The incident happened two months ago; visuals of two Kuki women in Manipur’s Thoubal district being paraded naked went viral on July 19.
