TCS scandal reveals Cash and Caste play a role in Corporate India

The dreams of thousands of youngsters are shattered as the truth is revealed that cash and caste play a pivotal role in securing a job after the TCS scandal. 

The news that @TCS HR officials allegedly recruited thousands of people by taking bribes is a shocker. Many believe that jobs in Corporate Sector are just based on merit.

According to Livemint, Tata Consultancy Services Ltd has been adding 50,000 people on an average annually for the past three years. It is alleged that a few senior executives accepted bribes from staffing firms and consultancies. They have amassed more than Rs 100 crores in bribes by compromising on the recruitment process.

Furthermore, the company has kept everything undercover and dismissed the three senior executives immediately. Various sources say that the scandal had come to the knowledge of the management through a whistle-blower.

According to Livemint, TCS CEO and COO set up a team of three executives immediately after they received a complaint. The team of three included the company’s Chief Information security officer to probe the allegations.

It is learnt that the team investigated for a few weeks. The Company has sent the head of recruitment on leave, sacked four executives from RMG and blacklisted three staffing firms.
