Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) laid the basis for the Hare Krishna Heritage Tower in Hyderabad on Monday. He made a Rs 25-crore gift for the 400-foot-tall skyscraper, which will be built on a six-acre campus on Hyderabad’s outskirts at a cost of Rs 200 crore.
Speaking at the event, Rao praised the Hare Krishna Heritage Tower project and expressed his delight at being a part of the program. The firm has maintained high service quality and has worked tirelessly to assist the government throughout the Covid-19 epidemic and other calamities.
Speaking about the heritage tower, he said that the temples of Sri Sri Radha Krishna and Sri Venkateswara Swamy will be housed in the tower. The tower will serve as yet another cultural monument in Hyderabad. It would showcase Telangana’s heritage via Kakatiya architectural components.
Accommodation will be provided for 1,500 worshippers. To conserve Telangana’s historical and cultural legacy, constructions would be performed by combining cutting-edge technology and the expertise of the Kakatiyas.
The tower will also have an Annadanam hall, which would serve food to 500 visiting devotees at once.
The temple structures will include a library, Kalyana Auditorium, IMAX open-air cinemas, lecture halls, the Q complex, and guest rooms. Laser displays using cutting-edge technology will be organized to help young people grasp Lord Krishna’s history as well as his teachings.
KCR further added that the temple is associated with all religions. Religion is a worldwide concept. Religion is not inherently evil. Religious ignorance and extremism endanger us. We are not encouraged to make errors by religion. Religious ignorance, on the other hand, drives all humans insane. Religious insanity pushes humanity to conduct cruel things,” he remarked, adding that violence has no place in any faith. KCR praised Hare Krishna’s support for the Telangana administration.
Madhu Pandita Dasa, Chairman of the Hare Krishna Movement, Satya Goura Chandra Dasa, President of the Hare Krishna Movement-Hyderabad, Suresh Kumar Agarwal, Secretary of the Krishna Goseva Mandali, Nithyananda Reddy, MD of Aurobindo Pharm Limited, and others were there.
