Hyderabad to become first city with 100% sewerage facilities by May 2023

Hyderabad will be the first city in India to have 100 per cent sewerage facilities by April-May according to minister KTR. He said this at the inauguration event of the Kothaguda-Kondapur flyover at Gachibowli, Hyderabad.

Minister of Municipal Administration and Urban Development, IT minister KTR said, The Hyderabad administration is building 31 new Sewage treatment plants (STP) with ₹3,866 crores. The city will rank top among all major cities in the nation for the treatment of sewage after the implementation of 31 STPs.

The first natural sewage treatment plant in Telangana

The NEERI Nagpur has set up Telangana’s first phytorid-based sewage treatment plant at the campus of International Advanced Research Centre for Powder Metallurgy and New Materials (ARCI) in Hyderabad.
 

KTR about other project in Telangana

According to news reports, “Keeping the floods of October 2020 in mind, we have developed the Strategic Nala development program with around 1000 crores. We will finish the project by this March-April, KTR said.

The infrastructure development in Hyderabad is happening a very faster than any other city. We are working with the aim towards development and welfare. Till now we have done so many projects in the last eight years. We have also started the Hyderabad Airport Metro project in December 2022, which will be completed in 2-3 years. We will also start more than 3,000 electric buses with the aim to reduce the pollution in Hyderabad, KTR said.
