The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has decided to issue monthly bus passes on kilometre basis in express bus services.
On Monday, TSRTC Managing Director VC Sajjanar issued an order that the toll plaza fee would be included in the bus pass charges. Passengers had to show the bus pass and take the toll plaza ticket every day. Now TSRTC has removed the policy and included the toll fee in the monthly bus pass charges.
According to the TSRTC officials, there are as many as 15,000 monthly bus passes in Telangana under ‘Monthly Season Ticket’. The passes are mostly availed off by teachers, government employees and businessmen. Who travel regularly within 100km with a 33 percent discount.
They abolished the slab system and included the toll plaza fee in the bus pass charges for the larger benefit of the Passengers. He asked the passengers to utilize the opportunity and stand by the TSRTC, VC Sajjanar said.
