107 new positive cases of the novel coronavirus have been reported in the last 24 hours. The total number of infected persons in Telangana has mounted to 2,098.
The Telangana government has decided to open all shops ,However the shops in the malls will not be opened,to prevent overcrowding.
The government has directed to open the shops in Hyderabad from Thursday amid the fourth phase of coronavirus-induced lockdown.
The Telangana Chief Minister’s Office said, “The government has decided to open all shops except those in malls in Hyderabad from Thursday. Since permission to open alternative shops has been given, people are crowding the shops. Hence, it has been decided to permit all the shops to open except those in malls in Hyderabad.”
The state government further stated that the customers and the shop owners have been asked to follow the Covid-19 guidelines strictly.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had also asked the officials to celebrate the Telangana state formation day as a low-key affair due to the coronavirus-induced lockdown. Rao said that except for paying tribute to Bravehearts and hoisting of the national flag, no meeting or programmes should be held, according to Telangana CMO.
Telangana was officially formed on June 2, 2014, after its bifurcation from Andhra Pradesh.
