Russian Porn Stars are facing financial crisis as their OnlyFans earnings are frozen due to the financial restrictions imposed on Russia.
Financial sanctions imposed on Russia, following it’s invasion of Ukraine. As a result, adult entertainers like OnlyFans limited the payments of it’s creator accounts.
Sources said, many models have no money to live as they never anticipated that such a thing could happen ever. Most of their accounts are frozen. Hence they are facing trouble. Few of the models claimed that they lost huge amounts of money due to the ban.
What is OnlyFans?
OnlyFans is an online subscription service platform launched in 2016, based in London. People can pay for the content through a monthly membership. Content creators can directly receive funding from their fans through this platform.
According to Wikipedia, although OnlyFans is mainly used for Pornographic content, it also has market for chefs, fitness trainers, and musicians.
Why OnlyFans limited the payments
Talking to the news media ‘Daily star’, OnlyFans on Sunday told
“While creators are not responsible for the recent attacks on Ukraine, due to world wide financial restrictions we have very limited methods to pay creator accounts linked to Russia and Belarus. As a result payments have been limited”.
However, on Monday, OnlyFans said, after experiencing financial restrictions we have been able to restore account activity for creators in all countries. Their accounts will have full functionalities as long as we continue to have payment methods to support them.
Furthermore, they said,
“We were not terminating or suspending any creator accounts based on the creator’s location, and we are doing everything we can to support our community.”
