Goa CM thanked the healthcare workers after the last active coronavirus case tested negative. He also highlighted the importance of lockdown and social distancing.Goa has been becomes coronavirus-free after the last COVID-19 patient tested in the state was negative on Sunday.
Goa had seven positive cases reported. All the seven cases in Goa have been successfully cured now. The government, however, urged the people to still follow the lockdown norms and maintain social distancing till it’s declared safe by health authorities.
Confirming Goa’s ‘victory’ over coronavirus, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said, “A moment of satisfaction and relief for Goa as the last active #COVID19 case tests negative. Team of doctors and entire support staff deserves applause for their relentless effort. No new positive case in Goa after 3rd April”. this result make goa becomes coronavirus free.
Goa Health Minister Vishwajit Rane tweeted and announced that all the seven COVID-19 cases in the state have been successfully treated. He appreciated the doctors and frontline workers for making this possible.
However, stressing on the importance of adhering to the lockdown rules and regulation, Rane added, “While we currently do not have any active cases in the state, it is our responsibility to keep in mind the importance of the lockdown, maintain social distancing, increase the scope of testing and adhere to norms and guidelines issued by both Central and State governments.”
Meanwhile, State Health Minister Vishwajit Rane took to Twitter to share the good news and express his gratitude to all the doctors and frontline workers.
