Sonia Gandhi’s vedio conference with Congress Working Committee (CWC) held a video conference on Thursday. Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, leaders Rahul Gandhi, Chidambaram, Ghulam Nabi Azad, AK Antony, Mallikarjuna Kharge, Ahmed Patel and AICC General Secretary, Priyanka Gandhi participated in it. They discussed about the latest situation in the country in the wake of the 21 day lockdown in the country.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi,announced a 21 day nationwide lockdown suddenly,on 23 March. He anticipated that lockdown was needed to curb the spread of coronavirus . Sonia Gandhi , the Congress Party Chief challenged the central government’s plan to implement it. She expressed concern about millions of migrant laborers and the poor are facing severe difficulties.She said that unplanned lockdown was the reason for all the problems.
Sonia Gandhi said that the corona epidemic has affected the poor and the weak the most. We have witnessed millions of migrant laborers walking hundreds of kilometers to reach their hometown. It is painful that proper food was not given to them. She alleged that this is a failure of the government at the center. Sonia urged doctors, nurses and other staff to provide medical care to the patients with utmost care and sincerity.
