Mumbai police cops recover chopped, decomposed body from Lalbaug home.

A 24-year-old daughter allegedly killed her mother and cut her body into pieces in her house at Lalbaug, Mumbai. The accused was arrested by the Mumbai Police on Wednesday.

The accused was identified as Rimple Jain. The decomposed body was found in a plastic bag has been identified as Veena Prakash Jain.

The incident came to light when police were investigating missing persons case filed on March 14 evening by Veena’s elder brother. Neighbour’s also told the police that she had been missing for nearly two months. 

Veena’s daughter Rimple, brother and nephew had been detained earlier for interrogation. According to officials, the accused first claimed that she was unaware of her mother’s whereabouts but later confessed to killing her.

Rimple Jain was questioned for hours before she was arrested for allegedly killing her mother.

According to police said, she killed her mother because they fought frequently. Rimple  used an electric marble cutter, chopper, and knife to chop the mother’s body. Then she wrapped the body parts inside a plastic bag and later stored it inside a cupboard. Some of the body parts were also stored inside a steel vessel  in water tank. 

Police said that the women’s body as sent to KEM Hospital for a post-mortem and a team of forensic experts and CBI are present at the crime scene.

According to ANI, Mumbai’s Kalachowko police arrested the daughter of the deceased by registering a case under section 302 of the IPC and the Arms Act in connection with the murder of her mother. 

The woman was murdered in the month of December. After killing the woman, both her arms and legs were chopped off. By using sickles, cutter and a small knife. Police have recovered sickles, cutter & a small knife from the house of the deceased woman, said Mumbai police.
