Cockroaches are those creepy-crawly insects which no one wants in their home. They’re big, fast and trying to kill them under your foot will give you a feeling of a loud ‘crunch’.
Many people fear these insects, when they know a lot about insects or grew up fearing them. One good news about cockroaches is that they are not as harmful as blood-feeding insects like mosquitoes.
The bad news is that most of the species of cockroaches have become mutants which can resist most of the insecticides. But the good news is that you can get rid of them.
How to get rid of cockroaches and kill them safely
Prevent them from coming into the home
Don’t give any scope to the cockroaches or provide an environment to establish in your house. Avoid getting the cockroaches.
Clean out areas like garage, basement, attic, old card boards, books, clothes or other boxed up things. These are the perfect environments for cockroaches, where they feel sheltered and secure.
We can keep the cockroaches away by not providing food source for cockroaches – means not keeping dirty places and good maintenance of trash and recycled bins.
Avoid using sprays
The minute we see a cockroach, we immediately spray the insecticides. This impulsive reaction is done as we grew up hearing this. But wait a minute. Stop this practice, as it is harmful for we humans more than the cockroaches.
Bring out the cockroaches out
One easy thing you can do is place wax paper or gel in places which cockroaches tend to hide. they get stuck and eventually die. Get them irritated and then they will never enter your home again.
That way we are targeting the mutation which happens in the cockroaches due to insecticides.
Call for the professionals
If the above method doesn’t work and you still see cockroaches crawling into your house, then it is time to call for the professionals. They will be in a better position to the best route for stopping the entry of cockroaches.
