In a tragic incident, a 14-year-old boy died of rabies in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, after a neighbor’s dog beat him. The victim identified as Shahbaz, was a class 8 boy.
The boy died on Monday evening while traveling back to Ghaziabad from Bulandshahr, where he had been transferred for treatment when his condition deteriorated.
As per the news reports, the boy was bitten by his neighbor’s dog about a month and a half ago but kept it from his parents out of fear.
Sabez did not inform the family about the incident. Later, he started feeling symptoms of rabies after four days. He became afraid of wind and water and began to live in the dark. He was terrified and made loud sounds, as per family stated.
Following the incident, the boy was taken to several hospitals in Ghaziabad, Meerut, and Delhi’s AIIMS.
Later, he was taken to an Ayurvedic doctor in Bulandshahr for treatment. Sadly, he lost his life while being transported back to Ghaziabad in an ambulance.
