The 499 positive Covid-19 cases took the overall number of positive cases in Telangana to 6526.
Telangana reported 499 corona positive cases including 329 cases from areas under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits, in a single largest one-day surge, on Friday.
Three people died of Coronavirus yesterday taking the death toll to 198. According to a bulletin released by the health department, 2,477 samples were tested on Friday.
While the GHMC areas had 329 cases, the neighbouring district of Rangareddy too had an escalation in the positive cases with 129 samples testing positive for Covid-19.
With today’s cases, the overall number of positive cases reported rose to 6,526 while the number of active cases as on Friday was 2,976.
Authorities also discharged 51 patients taking the total number of recoveries to 3,352.
