A 24-year-old woman identified as Vaishali, a Dental doctor has been kidnapped by a group of 100 people from her house by vandalizing the furniture at Adibatla under Rachakonda Police Commissionerate on Firday.
The incident occurred within the Adibatla police station limits under the Rachakonda Police Commissionerate.
The terrifying incident was captured on video, and footage. A large group of men were armed with sticks, barging into a house and damaging property and car. According to the girl’s parents, more than 100 youngsters attacked into their home and tried to take their daughter.
The 24-year-old woman, identified as Vaishali, a Dental doctor was rescued late in the night after kidnapped her home in Adibatla. According to the Rachakonda police the victim was kidnapped. The victim’s family has alleged Naveen Reddy of leading the mob and kidnapping her.
According to the girl’s mother, the two met while playing badminton and soon became friends. However, her father Damodhar Reddy explained that Naveen had proposed marriage through some brokers, but the girl declined the proposal. Moreover, the parents refused the proposal through the mediators. However, Naveen Reddy did not budge, he tried different ways and means to get married to the girl. He kept harassing the girl.
Speaking to the media, the mother of the girl said, around 50 to 100 people entered the house and broke the CCTV cameras and other objects. She begged them not to touch her, but they took her away in a car in the afternoon.
Furthermore, they complained that Naveen Reddy, opened a stall in front of their house to trouble them and keep an eye over them. He would bring his friends and sit in the stall and trouble them.
However, the girl called the parents in the evening and informed that she was safe. Later in the night she called again. That’s when the police found out that she was in Nalgonda. The Rachkonda police informed Nalgonda police. The police went along with the father of the girl and brought her back home. They arrested Naveen Reddy too.
Sudheer Babu, Additional Commissioner of Police in Rachakonda, told the media that police teams have been formed to investigate various aspects of the case. When asked how many members of the group were interrogated and whether Naveen Reddy had a criminal history, he stated that sharing such information could adversely impact the investigation. According to him, a case has been registered under Section 307 (attempt to murder) of the Indian Penal Code based on the parents’ complaint.
According to police, they are scanning CCTV footage and conducting additional investigations.
