TSRTC, which currently provides water bottles, is planning to introduce a ‘Snack Box’ for persons travelling long distances starting this Saturday. The plan for introducing this scheme is to reach out to more people.
According to news reports, the ‘snacks box’ will be provided in nine electric ‘e-Garuda’ buses plying on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada route. Each snack box has a QR code, which passengers can scan on their phones to receive advice and tips.
TSRTC chairman Bajireddy Govardhan said that this innovative program is to reach more people. This snack box holds sweet and hot dishes, tissue paper, and mouth fresheners. TSRTC has fixed a nominal price of Rs 30 in the ticket rate for the snack box. The program will be extended after seeing feedback from passengers which they can give from phones with QR provided on the box.
