Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India birthday is fondly celebrated as Children’s day today across the country. He’s remembered for being a visionary and the best leader of his times. He was very fond of children. However, BJP always blame Nehru for everything just to prove that they are successful in all aspects.
Moreover, it is very wrong as BJP was not even born when Nehru was the Prime Minister of India.
As the saying goes, ‘When one doesn’t have anything to report as success, they find it easy to blame.’ The trend which BJP adopts is that if they need to succeed in their agenda, they have to blame someone. They can not blame anyone but for Nehru, as it is convenient as he is also from the so called family.
Concept: BJP plays blame game
In fact the BJP plays the blame game and the concept is very simple. If you want to become a hero or grow successful, make someone look a bigger villain, or magnify a villain. So that in comparison you look like a saint.
The same concept is carried over by Modi & his party workers because they couldn’t do anything constructive since 2014. Few people even feel, imagine what would it have been in 1947.
On the contrary it doesn’t mean that they hate Nehru. BJP is largely dependent on Nehru and his family to win the election.
Atal Bihari Vajpayee
On the other hand, Atal Bihari Vajpayee never compared himself or his government with Congress to show his performance. He was busy with his work. Vajpayee was wise enough not to play the blame game. Unlike Modi, Vajpayee was no ordinary PM. He never made someone a villain to prove himself great.
Criticism gone wrong
Ironically, BJP has hardly anything to speak as they, especially Modi criticized Congress, he had to eat back his word. He criticized GST, but he implemented GST. He criticized Aadhar – but he went all out with Aadhar. He criticized MNREGA -but he is forced promote MNREGA.
He criticized Congress on Petrol-Diesel price, but now in his rule Petrol price has touched Rs.100/- a liter in spite international price growing down. He promised to bring down dollar price – rather it has gone up. He criticized Congress on it policy in FDI – while he is now inviting FDI in every sector, even in education. The list is long where Modi had to eat back his own words.
People in India are intelligent enough, hence, blaming Nehru for every issue that India faces would be absolutely wrong. Especially economy & unemployment cannot be blamed on Nehru. All the development he did was 57 years ago. He took decisions according to the situations then. Whereas the present govt has been ruling for 7 years and the blame should be accepted by the present government itself.
Nehru’s achievements
When it comes to Nehru’s achievements it includes, Laying foundations for democracy, establishment of IITs, AIIMS, IIMs etc., secularism, establishment of five year plans, establishment of BARC, DRDO, ISRO, campaigned for women’s rights and promoted scientific temper. Whereas it’s equal to zero now.
BJP can never come near Nehru and his far sightedness.
