The prices of petrol and diesel were hike by 80 paise per litre on Tuesday. There is a hike in the prices after twelve days after the assembly election results in five states.
People had anticipated that the prices would go up as soon as the election results were out. However, the cost of the domestic cooking gas has been increased by Rs.50 per cylinder.
According to India Today, the petrol in Delhi will cost Rs.96.21 as against Rs.95.41 previously while diesel rates have gone up from Rs.86.67 per litre to Rs.87.47.
After the prices hike of petrol and diesel, petrol in Kolkata would cost Rs.105.51 per litre while diesel rates increased to Rs.90.62 per litre. Meanwhile, the prices of petrol and diesel in Tamil Nadu’s Chennai have increased to Rs.102.16 per litre and Rs.92.19 per litre respectively.
