A male 15 years old Cheetah died at the Nehru Zoological Park Hyderabad, due to heart attack on March 24. The Cheetah named ‘Abdullah’ was gifted by the Prince of Saudi Arabia. It was gifted to the Hyderabad Zoo more than a decade ago during his visit to the Zoo.
According to a zoo official, the Zoo authorities conducted a post-mortem examination and filed a report that the Cheetah died due to heart attack.
The zoo had received a pair of cheetah by Saudi Prince Bandar Bin Saud Bin Mohammed Al Saud in 2013.
According to zoo official, the male cheetah, named ‘Abdullah’ was all alone after the female Cheetah died in 2020. The female Cheetah died at the age of 8 years it was diagnosed with paraplegia.
