India’s third lunar mission The Chandrayaan 3 makes a successful soft landing on the moon’s surface on Wednesday, August 23 at 6:03 pm. The video and visuals of this historic event are telecasted live on the ISRO website and social media channels i.e., Facebook and YouTube.

After the nail-biting anticipation that followed previous attempts, Chandrayaan-3’s flawless landing has brought immense pride and inspiration to the nation.

This historic event marks a significant milestone not just for India’s space agency, the ISRO, but also for the global space exploration community.

India became the fourth country to achieve a soft landing on the lunar joining the USA, Russia, and China.

According to Wikipedia, the mission consists of Vikram Lander and Pragyan, a rover similar to Chandrayaan 2.

The information gathered from the moon’s surface and the rover’s investigations will help us understand the moon’s geological history, potential water resources, and other essential elements during one lunar day. One lunar day is equal to 14 days on Earth.
