There is massive outrage among the netizens after a video went viral, where the Kabaddi players were being served food which was kept in toilet.

Apparently, these videos were shot by few players on September 16 where the Under-17 state level Kabaddi matches for girls were held in Saharanpur.

Kabaddi-playing daughters of UP were served food in the toilet. The BJP government, which has spent crores on false propaganda, does not have the money to make good arrangements for our sportspersons, Congress tweeted.

The video show students  serving themselves rice and vegetables from different vessels. In addition to this, there were no proper spoons to serve themselves too. Girls were seen serving rice with their hands. There were few ‘pooris’ kept on a piece of paper. All this was happening in toilets in which the food was served to the players.

The rice, vegetable curry and the ‘pooris’ which were placed on the floor of a toilet depicts the negligence of the authorities concerned. However, as soon as the videos went viral, the state government suspended the Saharanpur sports Officer, Animesh Saxena.

Furthermore, when he was asked to comment on this, he shamelessly claimed that the food was served in the toilet as there was “space crunch.” “Because it was raining, we made arrangements for food in the swimming pool area. The food was kept in the changing room next to the swimming pool. Some construction work is being done in the stadium and there was no other place to keep the food because of the rain”

However, the District Magistrate, Akhilesh Singh of Saharanpur said, “There were complaints of bad arrangements. The district sports officer has been suspended. I have ordered an enquiry and the concerned person will submit a report in three days. We will take appropriate action.”

Moreover, all the political parties attacked the BJP for the viral videos and for disrespecting the players.
