Hyderabad: A ten-year-old girl who went missing from her school on Thursday in Dammaiguda, Jawaharnagar was found dead in a nearby lake on Friday.
According to reports, Indu, a class 4 student at Dammaiguda Zilla Parishad High School, was dropped off by her father in the morning. However, she left her bag and tiffin box in the classroom and left the school alone. And didn’t come home on Thursday. When her parents were informed by the school administration that she was missing from school in the morning, they immediately began searching for her.
Parents notified the police by 1PM on Thursday. A missing case was booked and the Jawaharnagar police formed two special teams to began searching.
Her friends informed the police that Indu told them she was going to a nearby shop and asked them to accompany her. However, they refused, she had to go alone.
The Police officials said that, Our teams started searching for her and examined the CCTV footage from near the school and routes. She was last seen walking towards the lake. Our teams searched for her and recovered her body from it on Friday morning.
The body was taken to Gandhi Hospital’s mortuary for postmortem examination.
